Who we’re looking for

We welcome proposals from:

  • Working and professional artists

  • Teaching artists and educators

  • Exhibiting artists interested in short-term workshops

  • Artists exploring teaching for the first time

You don’t need years of formal teaching experience — just a clear idea, enthusiasm for sharing your skills, and a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom.

What can you teach?

We’re open to a wide range of offerings held in our many studios:

  • Print Studio — Our largest studio space for Printmaking & Letterpress

  • 2D Studio — Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, & everything messy

  • Ceramics Studio — The mud room is perfect for throwing clay

  • Fiber Studio — Sewing, Knitting, Embroidery, & everything soft

  • Metal Studio — Solder low-temp metals in our comfortable metal shop

  • Project Space Studio — Curation or the art of displaying art

  • Hold short workshops, multi-week classes, or creative intensives

If you have a unique idea that doesn’t fit neatly into a category, we want to hear about it!

how it works

  1. Submit an application, with your class idea

  2. The Peoria Art Guild team will review your proposal

  3. We’ll connect with you to discuss scheduling, materials, and logistics

  4. Classes are schedules quarterly based on interest and availability

Instructor Support

Peoria Art Guild provides:

  • Registration and payment processing

  • Marketing and promotion

  • On-site staff support during classes for new instructors

  • Instructors are paid biweekly, at $30 a teaching hour.
